Stephane Mbia believes he is 10 days away from making his Marseille comeback, meaning he will miss the UEFA Champions League trip to Arsenal on November 1.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been out of action since breaking his foot back in August, and Didier Deschamps' side have struggled in his absence, as they continue to occupy a lowly position towards the bottom of the Ligue 1 table.
"I need to play, I miss playing football every week," said Mbia. "I think in ten days I should be okay to start playing, fingers crossed.
"Hopefully I can show my value to the club because they need me at the moment. It has been a difficult season for us so far."
Marseille have performed considerably better in the UEFA Champions League, but suffered an agonising 1-0 defeat at the hands of Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side in their last European outing at Stade Velodrome.
"But we won our last game [2-0 against Ajaccio] and that will help our confidence," Mbia continued.
"I hope to return soon and play my part in helping the club enjoy a successful season."
Marseille return to European action at the Emirates Stadium when they face the Gunners in the reverse fixture next week, and will be hoping for a positive result as they look to keep their dream of UEFA Champions League qualification alive.
