Bale happy with slick Spurs
Tottenham winger Gareth Bale delighted with win over QPR
Gareth Bale was delighted with Tottenham's latest free-flowing performance as they clinically dispatched of Queens Parker Rangers on Sunday.
The Welsh winger opened the scoring at White Hart Lane before Rafael van der Vaart netted a second and Bale added a third after some slick interchange.
Bale and Aaron Lennon combined wonderfully on the edge of the QPR before the former curled a beautiful shot past a helpless Paddy Kenny.
And Bale realises the final strike was particularly important with the visitors in the ascendency.
"They were just starting to come on top and putting a bit of pressure on us and it was a very important goal," said the 21-year-old following the 3-1 victory.
"The confidence is growing. We've been playing well and concentrating on our own football. Scoring goals is part of our game and we've been doing that."
Despite his brace, Bale missed out on the man-of-the-match award to Scott Parker, but he says the three points came courtesy of fine team display.
"It's just good to get goals and the three points that lifts us into the top six," Bale added.
"It was a great team performance [on Sunday]."
