Jordan Ibe has turned down a £100,000 move to Fulham, according to The Sun, with the youngster favouring a move to a bigger club in the next transfer window.
Ibe has been fantastic for lower-league side Wycombe, and at the weekend the 15-year-old became the Football League’s youngest goalscorer. As a result, numerous English clubs have come knocking at the wonderkid’s doorstep.
Last week it was reported that Liverpool and Manchester United were leading the race to sign Ibe, though Liverpool believed they had the edge over United after he completed a trial for the Merseyside club at the start of the season.
While Ibe has said that he would happily stay at Wycombe until the end of next season to gain more professional experience, clubs are already making audacious moves in the hopes of stealing the march on their rivals.
Fulham did reportedly put an offer on the table for Ibe, but the forward is holding out in the hopes of moving to one of the bigger English clubs. And with United sending scouts to watch the starlet on a regular basis, that dream might just come true in January.
