Sochaux midfielder Kevin Anin claims he is wanted by Arsenal, according to the Daily Star.

The 25-year-old Frenchman is desperate to leave the Ligue 1 outfit, and says that talks have begun over a potential move to the Barclays Premier League.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have handed a trial to Anin, to give him an opportunity to show what he can do, as he bids to earn a deal at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal scouts have been impressed with his footballing ability, but there remain concerns over the player's attitude, after it emerged he failed to turn up for training last week.

A product of the esteemed Le Havre youth academy, Anin has always been tipped for a bright future, but his petulance has seemingly held him back in the past, and prevented him from realising his full potential.

A fee of €3million is all that is reportedly needed to secure Anin's services, so it may be a risk that Wenger feels is worth taking, as the frugal Frenchman continues to identify cost-effective ways of improving his Gunners squad.
