Juventus are plotting an audacious January move for Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia reports talkSPORT.

The 26-year-old suffered a horrific broken ankle injury last season, and further problems have restricted his involvement with the reigning Barclays Premier League champions this term.

Valencia has also fallen down the Manchester United peking order following the summer arrival of Ashley Young - who has made a scintillating start to life at Old Trafford.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to keep hold of the Ecuadorian, who signed a new deal in August, contracting him to the club until 2015 - but that won't stop Juventus from testing Manchester United's resolve with a New Year bid.

The Serie A giants are eager to bolster their squad when the transfer window reopens, amid continued speculation that Serbian star Milos Krasic will leave Turin.

Krasic - a reported Manchester United target has been heavily linked with a move away from Italy, and with Valencia being lined up as his replacement - there is potential for a player exchange deal to be agreed between the two European giants.
