Reported Manchester United and Arsenal target Riccardo Montolivo is likely to join either AC Milan or Inter, according to an agent close to the player.
The Fiorentina midfielder is refusing to sign a new contract with the Viola, and is expected to be sold in January as the club attempt to avoid him leaving the Stadio Artemio Franchi for nothing in the summer.
However, despite United and Arsenal being credited with interest in the 26-year-old, Giorgio Parretti expects Montolivo to move to the San Siro.
"Montolivo could go so that Fiorentina does not lose him for nothing," he told TMW.
"Where do I see him? In Milan, because both teams, Inter Milan and AC Milan, could benefit.
"I think Montolivo wants to give 100 per cent, but cannot for the situation that has arisen. And don't forget other shores, for example, Paris would be a nice thing."
Both United and Arsenal are said to have been closely monitoring the Italian in their respective pursuits of midfield reinforcements.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger are reported to have scouts in attendance to run the rule over Montolivo as Italy beat Northern Ireland in a Euro 2012 qualifier last month.
However, it is unclear whether or not United or Arsenal will formalise their interest in January.
