Arsenal take ‘significant’ £15 million midfielder step - reports

Arsenal are on the brink of signing Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Mario Goetze, according to The Daily Mail.

The German has caught the eye throughout Europe with a number of to clubs following his progress.

But after Arsenal sent their chief scout Steve Rowley to watch the starlet, they appear to have taken the lead in the race.

Arsenal reportedly have £50 million to spent, and could use up to £15 million to help to tempt the German champion from selling their prized asset.

Arsenal saw first hand the quality Goetze can produce when they took on Dortmund in the Champions League earlier this season.
