Tomasz Kuszczak has had a move to Leeds blocked by Manchester United, with the keeper revealing he has only been given permission to move to Sheffield United or Doncaster on a temporary basis.
The keeper has suffered from limited game time at Old Trafford, making just 26 appearances for the Red Devils in four years.
And while Sir Alex Ferguson has given the Poland international permission to move to another club, Leeds are reportedly not included in the United manager’s list of possible destinations for Kuszczak.
Leeds and United have a long-spanning rivalry, and while Kuszczak didn’t site a reason for not being allowed to head to Elland Rd, it would be assumed that Ferguson was unhappy about the idea of the 29-year-old going to one of United’s most hated competitors.
"My loan to Leeds was not possible because Alex Ferguson has blocked it," he told Onet.
"I could only go to Sheffield United, or to Doncaster."
