Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega - a reported target for Arsenal - has claimed Juventus want to sign him in January.
The 26-year-old scored nine times last term to guide the Latics to survival but, so far this season, he has failed to find the net as Wigan continue to struggle.
However, Rodallega is still reportedly wanted elsewhere, and Juve appear to be considering making a move for his signature when the transfer window opens.
“There has been some contact from Juventus’s people," said the Colombian. "They want to sign me in January.”
Arsenal, though, are also said to be tracking Rodallega, something he confirmed during the summer.
He said: “Arsenal are interested in me and this is a club I have always liked."
Whether or not Arsene Wenger mounts a genuine attempt to sign Rodallega in January remains to be seen, but the Gunners boss is known to be keen on goalscoring reinforcements.
Arsenal are alleged to be tracking German star Lukas Podolski, while Marouane Chamakh could be on his way of the Emirates Stadium.
