David Beckham has been offered a whopping £1 million per month to play in Mexico, the Daily Mail claims, as the midfielder considers his options when his contract with LA Galaxy runs out.
Beckham has been the subject of a great deal of transfer talk lately, and while LA are hoping to superstar will stay in America, Beckham has outlined his ambition to play for a top team and challenge for a Team GB spot.
Tottenham appeared to be front runners amongst a host of clubs to sign Beckham, and while Paris Saint Germain were said to have offered more money to get Beckham on board, playing in the Barclays Premier League is just too tempting.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said recently that if Beckham wanted to move to White Hart Lane, he would be welcomed with open arms, but Mexican club Xoloitzcuintles Tijuan are willing to offer the massive pay packet plus private jets to and from games.
But Tottneham can’t be counted out of the race just yet, with the club hoping that Beckham isn’t motivated by money as he decides where his future lies.
