Gunners €40m playmaker target wants Spanish move – report
Arsenal – Eden Hazard has told Lille he wants to go to Real Madrid
Eden Hazard has told Lille directors that he wants to go to Real Madrid over any other club, according to Goal.com, with the playmaker deciding on a move to the Spanish giants over Arsenal.
Hazard is the subject of a great deal of transfer gossip, and while the Belgium international says he doesn’t want to move clubs until next summer, with competition at an all time high for his signature, January looks set to be a busy month for the star.
Arsenal are front runners in England to sign Hazard, but Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus have also reportedly been monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation.
While Arsenal have been slightly unwilling to pay Hazard’s €40 million price tag, Madrid are happy to accept the fee, and the club are said to be readying a deal for January in the hopes of taking Hazard off the market as soon as possible.
And now that Hazard has said he wants to move to Madrid, Arsenal will need to look elsewhere as they bolster their squad in the next transfer window.
