New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream has admitted that he is being tracked by Arsenal.

Skysports.com reports how the USA international has been strongly linked with a move to the Barclays Premier League after an impressive campaign in the MLS.

The 24-year-old is believed to be attracting interest from a number of clubs in England, with West Brom also credited with an interest in his services, but it's Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who remains the favourite for his signature.

Asked about speculation linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium, Ream confirmed that there had been an enquiry from Arsenal.

"I guess its public knowledge now and there have been others [teams]," he said. "It's good to have teams tracking you but it can't be a distraction either.

"If something comes of it, so be it. It would be a chance of a lifetime."

However, Arsenal may face further competition from Red Bull's sister club in Salzburg, after it emerged that Ream may be given an opportunity to train with them.

"He [Jurgen Klinsmann, US coach] is kind of setting all of that up," he added. "[But] there is nothing concrete as of yet."
