Arsenal could reportedly act on a tip off from Thierry Henry when the transfer window opens in January.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners legend has recommended current New York Red Bulls teammate Tim Ream to his former employers.
Ream, meanwhile, has also claimed he is aware of interest from Arsenal, and reports suggest Arsene Wenger could make a move for the 24-year-old centre-back when the transfer window opens.
Ream has been awarded seven caps for the USA and has impressed in New York since being picked by the franchise in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft following a spell in the USL Premier Development League.
He certainly seems to have caught the attention of Henry, who would appear to view Ream as a player with the potential to play for Arsenal.
Meanwhile, on Thursday the French striker urged Gunners fans to continue to support their manager, while also reaffirming his love for Arsenal.
"Arsenal play good football and I've become a Gunners supporter for life," Henry said.
"Something happened between me and the fans that I'll never forget."
