Paul Scholes could be in line for a promotion as Manchester United reserve team-manager if current boss Will Joyce joins Hull City.

Joyce is formerly of City, having managed the club for two-years between 1998-2000.

Scholes, currently his assistant, is being touted as his replacement at United.

The former midfielder, who retired from United the end of the season, has had little time to learn from Joyce, and will need to draw on his vast footballing brain if he's to succeed in then position.

Former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assumed the position with little or no experience, and has since excelled with Molde, capturing the club's first ever league title.
