Rafinha Alcantara, the brother of Barcelona star Thiago, has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea according to talkSPORT.
The 18-year-old Spaniard is earning rave reviews for his performances for Barcelona's B-team, and has also attracted interest from Villarreal.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has deployed scouts to monitor all youth products currently coming out of Camp Nou - a project that successfully brought Oriol Romeu to Stamford Bridge in August.
Rafinha is the latest player to grab Chelsea's attention, and Villas-Boas is ready to make a move for midfielder when the transfer window reopens in January.
However, they will face a fight for the Spanish U19 international's signature as they attempt to lure him to the Barclays Premier League after Rafinha made clear his intentions to commit his future to Barcelona.
"Chelsea? I don't pay attention to these stories, really," he said. "My idea is to renew my contract with Barcelona soon. We're close to a deal."
