Freiburg striker Papiss Demba Cisse says he wants to test himself in the Barclays Premier League.

The Senegal forward has attracted interest from throughout Europe and has been strongly linked with moves to Sunderland, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal's interest has also been mentioned, and the forward, who has netted eight-times already this season believes he's ready for the step up to the Premier League.

“I want to test myself at a big club and I believe I would be a big success in England,” Cisse said.

“I watch the Premier League and I am pleased that people are talking about me in the same sentence as good clubs.

“My aim is to be the best I can be, we will see what happens but my club know my position.”

Cisse's current deal expires in 2012, but would be allowed to leave if the right offer was received before that.

Although Arsenal are the biggest of the clubs being linked with Cisse, both Newcastle and Tottenham can boast to being the front-runners for the African superstar.

Arsenal may be forced into a bid for Cisse if they lose Robin Van Persie next summer.
