Liverpool and Newcastle delivered crushing transfer message

Liverpool and Newcastle United target Taye Taiwo will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window, according to the player's agent.

The Nigerian's form has been inconsistent since his summer arrival at the San Siro from Marseille.

Liverpool and Newcastle had been heavily linked with the African star, but his agent Fabio Parisi says there is no truth in the rumour linking him to the Premier League pair.

"There is no truth in this," said Allegri.

"It is not part of Taye's plans to leave Milan in January. The player is relaxed and has no problems with the coach.

"It's normal that he would want to play more minutes like any player, but I repeat that there is no contact with any other club."

Liverpool and Newcastle were desperately searching for a full-back during the summer.

The Reds eventually opted to sign Newcastle's Jose Enrique, while The Toon decided to replace the Spaniard with Davide Santon.
