Arsenal are in hot pursuit of Liverpool and Manchester United in the race for Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Star.

The Belgian winger is expected to be in the middle of the biggest transfer story of the next 12 months, with five of Europe's elite chasing his services.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are just two of those in contention, however, Arsenal Liverpool and United are also interested.

Latest reports suggest that Arsenal are behind their Barclays Premier League rivals in the chase for Hazard.

Reasons behind this could surround Arsenal's refusal to part with major money for a player who is yet to prove himself in one of the Europe's top leagues.

The £20 million asking price, who an often frugal Gunners, could also be a stumbling block, while Liverpool and United are likely to be able to splash out big money for the winger.

Both Liverpool and United spent over £50 million in the summer transfer window, and would be expected to spent more to lure the talents Lille man to the Premier League.
