United & Arsenal target 'better than Ozil'

Manchester United and Arsenal target Mario Gotze is better than international teammate Mesut Ozil, according to former Germany midfielder Bernd Schneider.

Ozil is regarded as one of the finest German players to emerge in recent years and has further enhanced his reputation since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2010.

However, Gotze is held in even higher regard by some, and has frequently been linked with a big-money move away from Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal and United have been touted as potential suitors for the 19-year-old as Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson scour the market for midfield reinforcements

And, should Gotze move to Old Trafford or the Emirates Stadium, Schneider believes Arsenal or United would be signing a player superior to Ozil.

"I personally find Gotze better," Schneider told Bild. "The lad is more versatile. He is also maybe a little better on the ball than Mesut."

Meanwhile, Arsenal and United are both reported to be monitoring Ajax starlet Danzell Gravenberch, who wanted by a number of Europe's top clubs.
