United skipper wants Moor memories

Leeds United captain Jonny Howson will use his late winner against Burnley last season as inspiration when traveling to Turf Moor this weekend.

The midfielder netted United's third to complete a thrilling second half comeback over Burnley, and the two meet again on Saturday.

Howson is hoping to draw on his experiences from last term and see out another United win.

“The main thing I remember from that day is the feeling of coming off the field where all the Leeds fans were and the noise they were making," he said.

“You can hear them in the changing room at Burnley singing above you and it’s moments like that you need to cherish in your career.

“You look back at moments like that and it’s reasons like that why you take part.

“Saturday will be another tough game but it’s one we’re looking forward to.”
