Yakubu denies Latics

Blackburn striker Ayegbeni Yakubu fired home a penalty eight minutes into injury time to earn a 3-3 draw against Wigan after a dramatic and controversial clash at the DW Stadium.

Albert Crusat appeared to have netted an 88th-minute winner for Wigan but Blackburn won the spot-kick when David Jones fouled Rovers keeper Paul Robinson - up for a late corner - in the box.

First-half strikes from Jordi Gomez and Gary Caldwell had earlier cancelled out Yakubu's opener before David Hoilett pulled Blackburn level once more. David Dunn was also sent off for the visitors early in the second half.
