Arsenal have not been in touch with Lyon regarding the potential signing of Yoann Gourcuff, according to the agent of the France midfielder.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a January move to the Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger identifies targets for the winter transfer window.
But, says Alain Migliaccio, the Arsenal boss has not made an approach for Gourcuff, and the playmaker is not thinking about joining the Gunners.
"Yoann is working to return as soon as possible to the field after an ankle injury," Migliaccio told calciomercato.it.
"The rumours about the [Arsenal] interest? At the moment he is only thinking about his recovery.
"Wenger is a dear friend of mine and I have never been asked about this player."
Meanwhile, Wenger is also said to be monitoring Borussia Monchengladbach's Marco Reus in his pursuit of midfield reinforcements.
Gladbach boss Lucien Favre says the Gunners supremo has enquired about the 22-year-old after a tip off from former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
