Aly Cissokho is refusing to comment on reports linking him with a move away from Liverpool.
The French full-back, who has a reputation for galloping forward, is attracting interest from a number of top clubs.
Liverpool are one of those reportedly interested, however, after signing Jose Enrique in the summer, could be forgiven for not going after Cissokho.
"There is nothing concrete so far," he said.
"I know what the club is expecting from me.
"Everything that is rumoured is of no importance to me, I don't even need to deny things because I am focused on my own season."
Liverpool may still be forced into a move for Cissokho, as they look to come to the aid of cash-strapped Lyon, who say they could part company with the praised asset.
Liverpool do require cover for Enrique, with rookie Jack Robinson the only stand in available to Kenny Dalglish.
