Manchester United lead Arsenal and Chelsea in the list of English clubs trying to sign Spanish hot-shot Javier Gonzalez according to the Daily Mirror.
The 15-year-old striker has netted an impressive 20 goals in just seven games for Spanish fourth division side Laredo's youth team, and has also attracted interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have already approached the teenager's representatives about the possibility of undergoing a trial at Arsenal, with a view to a permanent move to the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has recently launched a new scouting network in Spain, in an attempt to bring the brightest young talent to Stamford Bridge - engineering deals in a similar manner to the one which saw former Barcelona star Oriol Romeu join Chelsea in the summer.
But as Chelsea and Arsenal continue to monitor Gonzalez's situation closely, it is in fact Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson who is making the most progress with negotiations.
Manchester United scouts have been thoroughly impressed with what they have seen from Gonzalez in action, and Ferguson is desperate to bring him to Old Trafford.
