Robert Pires believes Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will remain at the Emirates Stadium until the day he dies.

Wenger has been Gunners boss since September 1996 and has won three league titles and four FA Cups during his tenure in north London.

However, it would appear that the Frenchman's time at Arsenal could be heading towards an eventual end after he claimed he would review his position at the end of the season.

Pires, though, does not see Wenger walking away from the club, and expects the relationship to continue until in death they do part.

“I think he will die with Arsenal,” the former Arsenal midfielder told the Telegraph.

“He is the same as Ferguson at Manchester United or Guy Roux at Auxerre.

"He will stay with Arsenal, that is my opinion, because Arsenal need him and he needs Arsenal. C’est l’amour.”

Pires was a member of the title winning sides of 2002 and 2005 before leaving the club for Villarreal in 2006.
