Real Madrid have reportedly snatched teenage striker Javier Gonzalez from the clutches of Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Spanish hotshot has found the net 20 times in seven youth games for Laredo and has also attracted the interest of Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United.
But, according to The Mirror, Arsenal and Chelsea have been pipped to the post after the 15-year-old informed teammates he will move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Arsene Wenger, it is claimed, had offered Gonzalez the opportunity to have a trial with the Gunners, although it remains unclear if the Arsenal boss was taken up on this invitation.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are understood to have launched a new scouting network in Spain and had hoped to make use of this by bringing Gonzalez to Stamford Bridge.
Elsewhere, Inter Milan are said to be winning the race for Lille star Eden Hazard, who is a target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Real.
The Italian giants are reportedly ready to bid £40 million for the 20-year-old playmaker in January.
