Swansea striker Danny Graham hopes he will be fit for Saturday's clash with bottom-of-the-league Blackburn.

A win for The Swans at Ewood Park could push them into the top half of the league, and would put them ten points clear of lowly Blackburn.

"Although it's still early in the season, Saturday's game is massive," said Graham.

"It's a game I want to be fit for."

The frontman is struggling with an Achilles injury that he sustained against Aston Villa last Saturday, and will be hopeful that the swelling goes down enough to feature this weekend.

"It's still sore but it's a lot better than it was yesterday. I've got to take each day as it comes."

"I'm still hopeful of making Saturday, but I think the next 24 hours will be crucial once the swelling has gone down," added Graham.

The 26-year-old has had a good run in the Premier League, scoring four goals in 11 games.

"Injuries are part and parcel of the game, but I've been fairly fortunate with them so far in my career," admitted the ex-Watford striker.
