Huth hurts Toffees

Published Add your comment

Robert Huth's first goal of the season was enough to give Stoke a 1-0 victory over Everton in the Barclays Premier League match at Goodison Park.

The German defender, inside the six-yard box, turned home Dean Whitehead's 15th-minute shot after the home side failed to clear a corner.

Everton had at least two claims for a penalty either side of the interval turned down but did not do enough to threaten the Potters goal.
