Tottenham Hotspur are planning a bid for Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul, following the Dutchman's heroics this season, according to the Chronicle.
The 23-year-old has been in remarkable form this season, helping The Toon go 11 games unbeaten at the start of the league season.
His form has now attracted admirers, with Tottenham ready to launch a bid.
A Chronicle source said: "Tim’s form has been outstanding this season and he has caught the eye of Tottenham. They are looking for new blood in the goalkeeper department.
“Tim is one of a number of younger goalkeepers they have in mind.”
With Brad Friedel and Carlo Cudicini in the twilight of their career and Heurelho Gomes out of favour, Harry Redknapp will be keen to add to his options between the sticks.
Krul's form has been such that club stalwart Steve Harper has been kept out of the team at the Sports Direct Arena.
The stopper says his idol in the game is former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar who he has on occasion replaced in the Netherlands nation team along with Maarten Stekelenburg.
His recent form has seen comparisons drawn between the two, sparking interest from Tottenham.
