Bothroyd happy with Helguson link-up
Jay Bothroyd pleased with Queens Park Rangers striker Heidar Helguson
Jay Bothroyd is delighted with the partnership that he has struck up with Heidar Helguson this season.
The Icelandic forward has now scored in four consecutive Barclays Premier League home games, equalling Les Ferdinand's record for QPR.
"Heidar is doing really well," Bothroyd said about his fellow striker. "A lot of his goals have been headers. He attacks the ball really well and his timing is really good."
Bothroyd was unhappy that the R's dropped points at home to West Brom on Saturday and wants to bounce back when they head to Anfield to face Liverpool at the weekend.
He explained: "It was disappointing to draw the game. We were in control before they equalised and they didn't have many chances apart from long-range efforts.
"It will be a tough match at Anfield, but we have to be positive going into the game."
Some of QPR's best performances of the season have come against the top teams, including a win at home to Chelsea and the England international wants that to continue.
"We beat Chelsea and, even though we didn't get the win against Manchester City, we did really well against them too. And at White Hart Lane we gave a good account of ourselves in the second half.
"We can't worry too much about the opposition, and we've got to approach the game without fear and do as well as we possibly can."
