Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas says the club's form in the Barclays Premier League is on another level.

Victory over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend was Spurs 10th in 11 league games, with the club now third, many consider them as contenders for the title.

Having won two titles with Chelsea, the French defender knows all about being a cut above the rest, and with Tottenham's form not looking like letting up, Gallas believes the club can only improve.

“I think we’ve improved," he said. "The results show we’ve improved a lot and that’s good for the future.

“I think at the moment we are at another level and we have to carry on.

“It won’t be easy (to maintain that level of form), but we have to be focused, to concentrate and to believe.”

With the likes of Michael Dawson, Ledley King and Gallas himself spending time on the sideline, Spurs have often been forced to field a makeshift defence, but Gallas has no issue with his latest partner Younes Kaboul.

“I think we’ve improved," he added. "The results show we’ve improved a lot and that’s good for the future.

“I think at the moment we are at another level and we have to carry on.

“It won’t be easy (to maintain that level of form), but we have to be focused, to concentrate and to believe.”
