Manchester United are chasing full back Jetro Willems, as their search for a replacement for Patrice Evra cranks up, according to The Mirror.
Evra's form has been a cause for concern for United at late, and at 30 years old, a replacement may be recruited in the near future, to be groomed to replace the Frenchman.
Ferguson's son Martin was sent on a scouting mission, with United teeing up a bid for the 17-year-old.
The United target has made 20 senior matches in domestic football, with a number of English and European clubs interested.
Ferguson is reportedly eager to snap up the starlet before other club get sniff of his talent, with United likely to bid in the January transfer window.
Willems would be eligible for United's Europa League campaign.
