Liverpool have handed a trial to Toronto FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei.
The club have been constantly on the look out for fresh talent, a search that has taken them to America.
The MLS side announced on Sunday that their star stopper was on his way to Anfield.
"This is a great opportunity for Stefan and we were happy to give him permission to train with a historic club like Liverpool," Toronto manager Aron Winter.
"He has emerged as one of the top keepers in the league since the start of his career and has certainly earned this special opportunity."
Liverpool had previously invited New York Red Bulls striker Juan Agudelo to spend time at the club, and appear keen to add Frei to their ranks permanently.
