Yann Kermorgant saved a point for nPower League 1 leaders Charlton, who could only draw 1-1 away at struggling Walsall.
The Saddlers had taken the lead through Jon Macken’s effort, but Kermorgant equalised with a header.
The result meant Charlton’s eight-match winning streak came to an end, but manager Chris Powell was happy with the point.
“A point is very favourable. Of course we came here trying to get three points but you have to be careful away," he said post-match.
"I still take the positives. We are now on 47 points and still on top."
