Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda is set to be the subject of a bid from Serie A side Lazio.
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport are reporting that the France winger is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and Lazio are ready to snap him up.
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is looking to make wholesale changes to his squad in a bid to refresh the Blues’ ailing title challenge.
Malouda is thought to be one of the players that the Villas-Boas has lined up for the exit door at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old is coming to the end of his contract and will most likely not be offered a new one.
Chelsea are unlikely to pass up the chance to cash in on Malouda come January, as it would also take some pressure off of their wage bill.
The former Lyon man has only completed 90 minutes in the Barclays Premier League once this season and has found playing opportunities somewhat limited.
Although Lazio are thought to be most interested, other clubs such as new money Russian side Anzhi Mahkachkala and his former club have been mentioned as possible suitors.
Serie A title rivals Juventus are also thought to be interested in Malouda, as they attempt to maintain their lead at the top of the Italian league.
