Santos sensation Neymar admits the possibility of facing Barcelona in the FIFA Club World Cup is an exciting one.
The Brazilian starlet has been heavily linked with a transfer to Europe, with Pep Guardiola's side one of those to be linked with a move for the 19-year-old both in the summer and 2012.
And Barca could get a first-hand look at the player in Japan if both sides win their semi-finals, with Neymar looking to show his potential against the best side in the world.
"Barcelona are the best club in the world," Neymar told the press ahead of the clash against Kashiwa Reysol on Wednesday.
"If I have the opportunity to play them, I will be very happy and will try to win the game."
The 19-year-old has also spoken on the comparison with Lionel Messi, a two time FIFA World Player of the Year winner and nominee for the same award once again in 2011.
Neymar is 'proud' to be compared to the Argentine playmaker, but is also focused on doing his current club proud during the competition.
"To be compared with Messi makes me very proud and I'm very pleased to have this comparison," added Neymar.
"I'm very happy to have this opportunity to play at the Club World Cup and very happy to have the chance to be a new name in the history of Santos. It's an honour for me."
