Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will decide on the immediate future of Ryo Miyaichi come the start of the January transfer window.

The Japanese winger, who has been compared with Cristiano Ronaldo in the past, has featured just twice for the club this season, both in the early rounds of the Carling Cup.

Reports have previously suggested that Miyaichi is a wanted man, but Wenger is still to decide whether to loan out the Arsenal man.

“No, there is no truth in that at the moment,” Wenger said. “I will decide that at the beginning of January."

The 18-year-old spent the scoring half of last season on loan at Feyenoord, scoring three times in 12 appearances, and Arsenal will hope a second spell on loan will help further improve his development.

Big things are expected of Miyaichi, who made his first Arsenal first-team starts in his career this term.
