Arsenal are tracking French striker Nolan Roux with a view to a possible January move, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has been earning rave reviews in Ligue 1 this term, alerting a host of clubs across Europe to his goalscoring ability.
Reports in The Independent go as far as to claim Gunners chief Arsene Wenger dispatched scouts to watch the Brest hitman in action against Rennes last week, a game that ended 1-1 with Roux scoring the opener on 17 minutes.
Wenger has already admitted that he may be tempted into a striker move when the January transfer window re-opens, and a handful of players in the position have already been linked with Arsenal.
"We lose players like Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho to the Africa Cup of Nations so hopefully, touch wood, we do not get any injuries to our strikers," he told Arsenal fans at a Q&A at the Emirates Stadium.
"But if an opportunity turns up in that department then we will buy."
Park Chu-Young is another attacking option for the Gunners, but is yet to prove his worth in the Barclays Premier League with limited opportunities to impress thus far.
Lucas Podolski, Leandro Damiao and Moussa Sow have also been linked with an Arsenal move in the recent past, and Roux is another name to add to the possible hitlist in north London.
