Eyre leaves Rochdale post

Rochdale have sacked manager Steve Eyre and his assistant Frankie Bunn.

Dale have won just four matches this term and lie two points from safety inside the relegation zone. Saturday's goalless draw with fellow strugglers Yeovil stretched the club's current poor run of form to a solitary win in 10 league matches.

Youth team manager Chris Beech has been placed in caretaker charge.
