Juventus are reportedly set to gazump Tottenham in the pursuit of Internacional striker Leandro Damiao when the transfer window opens next month.
According to talkSPORT, Juve will offer £21 million for the Brazil international in January; substantially more than tabled previously by Spurs.
Harry Redknapp is reported to have made a bid of £12 million for Damiao during the summer, which was rejected by Internacional.
Whether or not the Spurs boss now decides to compete with Juve for the 22-year-old remains to be seen, but he is known to be keen to bolster his goalscoring ranks.
With Roman Pavlyuchenko's future at White Hart Lane still unsure and Emmanuel Adebayour not, as of yet, with Spurs for the long-term, forward reinforcements are needed.
Redknapp is keen to keep Adebayor as Spurs, but is said to be identifying other targets should he not be able to secure the signature of the Togolese on a permanent basis.
Along with Damiao, Didier Drogba and Amauri have also been linked with Tottenham.
