The 29-year-old Brazilian has had a transfer request accepted by the Barclays Premier League club, and is poised to leave west London when the transfer window reopens in January.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is looking to bring fresh impetus to his Stamford Bridge squad, and is willing to let a number of Chelsea's seasoned professionals leave in the New Year.
There is no question that Alex's future most certainly lies away from Chelsea, but it had not been certain exactly where the South American stopper would be moving to - that is until Morabito's comments.
"Juve in January will move surely to bring a defender to Turin: the club is moving to buy Alex from Chelsea," he confirmed.
"The Brazilian is 29 years old, is a strong defender and I think that Juventus will buy him in January.
"He will be a great coup for the Bianconeri team's defence."
With Alex on his way out, Villas-Boas is on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, and is reportedly edging closer to agreeing a £7million deal for Bolton's Gary Cahill.
