Caldwell targets history

Published Add your comment

Wigan skipper Gary Caldwell insists the Latics can get a result against Manchester United for the first time in the club's history.

Roberto Martinez's side take on United at Old Trafford on Boxing Day with history pointing to another three points for the reigning league champions, but Caldwell claims draws against Chelsea and Liverpool have inspired Wigan to believe they can finally upset the odds.

"To do something this club has never done before and get a result from Old Trafford would be very special. We're going there ready to give everything we've got, full of confidence and with a belief that we can do something," he said.
