A goal in each half from Guly Do Prado helped leaders Southampton maintain their unbeaten home record in the npower Championship this season with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Guly headed home a Steve De Ridder cross in the 34th minute before adding a second, another header this time from a Frazer Richardson delivery, with 13 minutes left to stretch Saints' unbeaten league run at St Mary's to 24 matches.

Third-placed Middlesbrough kept pace with the leaders after Barry Robson's stunning strike in the closing minutes earned them a hard-fought 1-0 win over fourth-placed Hull, ending the Tigers' four-match winning run.
