Blackburn manager Steve Kean has revealed Martin Olsson has an "outside chance" of recovering from a hamstring injury in time to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on New Year's Eve.
Rovers have a chronic injury list, which leaves 10 senior players either doubtful or definitely missing. Midfielders David Dunn and Junior Hoilett will both be assessed before Kean can make a decision on their respective hamstring injuries, whilst Olsson is also closing in on a return.
"Martin has an outside chance," said Kean. "It is a matter of making sure he can play to the normal explosive nature of his game. Last time he came back too quickly and this time we want him available for a number of games."
