Arsenal have reportedly offered club legend Thierry Henry a short term contract that could see the club's all-leading scorer make a sensational return to England.

Henry is said to be keen to fire Arsenal into the top four ahead of his return to the United States in March for the start of the MLS season with the New York Red Bulls.

Kenny Dalglish has defended Andy Carroll, insisting the former Newcastle striker is not struggling to find confidence despite scoring just 3 times this season.

Elsewhere today, Chelsea are close to tying up the signing of Bolton defender Gary Cahill, with the England international discussing personal terms.
