The agent of Gaston Ramirez has attempted to put an end to speculation surrounding the future of the Manchester United and Liverpool target, by claiming his client is happy with Bologna.

Ramirez has scored four times in 14 Serie A appearances this season, and has frequently been linked with a move away from Italy in recent months.

According to talkSPORT, both Manchester United and Liverpool have been pursuing the 21-year-old as both Sir Alex Ferguson and Kenny Dalglish scour the market for January reinforcements.

However, it would appear, the Uruguay international will not be moving to Old Trafford or Anfield in the near future, having put pen to paper on a contract extension with Bologna.

"There is nothing to say about Ramirez," said Ramirez's representative Vincenzo D'Ippolito."

"He's only just extended his contract. He won't be leaving Bologna."
