Porto defender Jorge Fucile is reportedly under consideration from Liverpool as the Reds make plans for the January transfer window.
The Uruguay international has made six appearances for Porto in the league this season as Vítor Pereira's side look to retain the title they won under Andre Villas-Boas last season
According to the Daily Mail, Fucile - rated at £6 million - could be recruited by Kenny Dalglish next month as the Liverpool boss looks to bring defensive reinforcements to Anfield.
Fucile, coincidentally, began his career at Liverpool Montevideo, before moving to Porto in 2007, having enjoyed a successful loan spell at Estádio do Dragão.
The 27-year-old has since made almost 150 appearances for Porto, although he is no longer a guaranteed starter for the Portuguese champions.
Meanwhile, should Fucile sign for Liverpool, he will join a growing Uruguayan contingent at Anfield, which already includes Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates.
