Villa shock Chelsea in late show

Published Add your comment

Chelsea suffered the worst possible end to 2011 as Aston Villa came from behind to snatch a 3-1 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Stiliyan Petrov and substitute Darren Bent both scored in the final seven minutes to put another nail in the Blues' Barclays Premier League title hopes.

Didier Drogba's penalty - his 150th Chelsea goal - had given the home side the lead but Stephen Ireland put his off-field problems behind him to equalise before the late drama.
