Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze is expecting to extend his contract with the German champions, to put pay to rumours surroundings immediate future.
Links with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid have been regular after his eight goals helped Dortmund to the Bundesliga title last season.
His link with a move to Arsenal has been the strongest of late, but the 19-year-old is eyeing a new with the Bundesliga side, rather than a move to one of Europe's elite.
"Of course I can imagine extending my contact at Dortmund," he said.
"I have always said how at home I feel here. And nothing has happened to change that.
"I have my family and friends here. And the whole Borussia Dortmund package with the coach and the team is simply outstanding."
The signing of Marco Reus, another target of Arsenal, may have persuaded Dortmund to part with their prized asset, who has already earned international recognition.
But the news comes as a boost, coming just months after Kevin Gosskreutz played down a move to Arsenal, claiming himself and Gotze were committed to the Dortmund cause.
