Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh could be offered a route out of the club by Serie A side Fiorentina, according to The Express.
The Moroccan has scored just once this season in 15 appearances for The Gunners, but his opportunities from the start have been limited to the Carling Cup, FA Cup and the early rounds of the Champions League.
With rumours surrounding Thierry Henry extending his second spell at the club, Chamakh's opportunities could be limited further upon his return from the Africa Nations Cup.
Reports suggest Chamakh's form will be monitored by Fiorentina, who are confident they can agree a deal for the 28-year-old this month.
His failure to impress against Leeds United in his final outing before travelling to the competition may be the final nail in the coffin for his Arsenal career which saw him net just twice in 2011.
Even if a deal can't be agreed to extend Henry's contract, Chamakh's exit could be the precursor for the arrival of Chelsea's Salomon Kalou, who have been heavily linked with a switch to North London or German international Lukas Podolski.
